Samuel is great at tailoring our talks around interesting topics. He lets me take my time to figure out how to make sentences about spontaneous subjects. This is a skill i especially want to practice - making conversation in real time. He is very patient and will explain something over and over without any negative reaction. Its great to have a tutor who will cheer you on at any level and accuracy who encourages you just to try and not worry about making mistakes.

Samuel is an excellent teacher. I've only done a few classes so far but have seen improvement in my ability to speak. My wife is Italian, so I do have some experience with the language, although it was very limited and I wasn't confident enough to speak to anyone. Now when I practice speaking Italian with my wife I feel that he words are coming a little find easier. I'm not generally a disciplined student and tend to not focus on study, but this is the only time I've enjoyed a class and have put good effort into it. The pace of Samuels lessons are well done. We spend a portion of the class chatting about our lives in Italian, which I find the most useful because it is generally things one might talk about with a native speaker. The other half of the class he sets aside for some grammar. Not too much where it's too much an overload for your brain. Just enough that you can retain the info, and not get overwhelmed. I'm so happy to have found Samuel!! Now I can't wait to go back to Italy and practice on my relatives.

Samuel is one of the best teachers I know. I am relatively new to Italian, and to build a sound basis, I chose to focus mainly on grammar – a subject that has the reputation of being quite dry. However, Samuel makes learning grammar very enjoyable and, most of all, so easy to understand. He is a master at explaining all the rules and exceptions and progresses in a well-chosen sequence at the perfect pace, including presenting excellent tasks for homework. In addition, the fact that he can explain complicated grammatical rules in perfect German helps me (and most likely anyone else whose mother tongue is German) a lot. In conclusion, I highly recommend Samuel as an outstanding Italian teacher who is very dedicated to his students’ progress.

I would say Samuel is a teacher who can fulfill needs of any person looking for the quality Italian language classes. It has already been more than 2 months that I am learning this beautiful language with him. Samuel has been helping me with my Italian for a couple of months now and I feel like I am making fast progress with his help.
